Weld neck flanges (WN) – EN 1092-1 Type 11 and ASME B16.5
We manufacture weld neck flanges to EN 1092-1 Type 11 and ASME B16.5 / B16.47 in our own factory in Istanbul, Turkey, from DN 15 to DN 2000 (1/2" – 60") and PN 6 – PN 400 / Class 150 – 2500. The tapered hub is butt-welded to the pipe, making weld neck flanges the right choice for high pressure, high temperature and vibrating lines.

Frequently asked questions
What is a weld neck flange?
A weld neck (WN) flange has a long tapered hub that is butt-welded to the pipe. The hub spreads stress from the flange into the pipe, which makes it the safest flange type for high pressure, high temperature and lines with vibration or thermal cycling.
What is the difference between a weld neck and a plate (slip-on) flange?
A weld neck flange is butt-welded through its tapered hub and suits high pressure and temperature. A plate or slip-on flange slides over the pipe and is fillet-welded inside and outside; it is cheaper and used on low to medium pressure lines.
How much does a DN100 PN16 weld neck flange weigh?
About 4.57 kg (catalogue value). It has an outside diameter of 220 mm, a bolt circle of 180 mm and 8 holes for M16 bolts.
What do I need to specify when ordering weld neck flanges?
Standard (EN 1092-1 or ASME B16.5), pressure class (PN or Class), size (DN or inch), face type (RF, FF or RTJ), material, pipe wall thickness or schedule for the bore, quantity and any certificate requirement such as EN 10204 3.1.
