Plate flanges (slip-on) – EN 1092-1 Type 01
Plate flanges slide over the pipe and are fillet-welded inside and outside – the most widely used and most economical flange. We manufacture them to EN 1092-1 Type 01 (DIN 2501), JIS B2220 and ASME B16.5 from PN 2.5 to PN 100, and in custom sizes up to DN 3000 for water, power and infrastructure projects.

Frequently asked questions
What is a plate flange?
A plate flange (slip-on plate flange, EN 1092-1 Type 01, formerly DIN 2501/2576) is a flat flange that slides over the pipe and is fillet-welded inside and outside. It is the most common and most economical flange type.
Are PN10 and PN16 plate flanges interchangeable?
Up to DN 150, PN 10 and PN 16 flanges have the same outside diameter, number of holes and bolt circle, so they can be bolted together; the joint is then rated for the lower class (PN 10). From DN 200 the drilling is different.
For which pressures are plate flanges used?
Plate flanges are normally used on lines from PN 2.5 to PN 40, and can be made up to PN 100 according to EN 1092-1. For high pressure, high temperature or vibration a weld neck flange is recommended.
How much does a DN100 PN16 plate flange weigh?
About 4 kg (catalogue value). It has an outside diameter of 220 mm, a bolt circle of 180 mm and 8 holes for M16 bolts.
