304 or 316L?
- 304 / 304L: drinking and process water, food, dairy, pharmaceutical, general stainless piping
- 316 / 316L: chemicals, seawater, swimming pools and chlorinated water, wastewater treatment, coastal plants
- For welded lines, choose the low-carbon L grades (304L, 316L)
Ordering and installation notes
- State grade (304, 304L, 316, 316L), flange type, DN and PN
- Use stainless bolts on stainless lines: A2 for 304, A4 for 316
- Avoid contact with carbon steel tools – it can leave rust stains on the surface
- Stainless elbows, tees, caps and reducers can be supplied in the same order
Why Yazıcı Endüstri?
We have manufactured flanges and pipe fittings in our own factory in Esenyurt, Istanbul since 1998. Plasma cutting, CNC turning and drilling, welding and inspection are all done under one roof, so we control lead time and quality without middlemen.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel flanges?
316 and 316L contain molybdenum, which makes them more resistant than 304 to chlorides, seawater and many chemicals; they cost roughly twice as much. 304 is used for water, food and general piping, 316L for chemical, marine and chlorinated water service.
What does the L in 304L and 316L mean?
L stands for low carbon. It reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion after welding, so 304L and 316L are preferred for welded lines.
Which bolts should be used with stainless steel flanges?
Use stainless bolts: A2 grade for 304 and A4 grade for 316. Carbon steel bolts will rust and can cause galvanic corrosion.
Which stainless flange sizes do you keep in stock?
PN 16 plate flanges in 304 and 316 from DN 15 to DN 300 are kept in stock. Larger sizes, other pressure classes, blind and weld neck stainless flanges and ASME B16.5 sizes are made to order.
